Thousands laid down while in action recognised by their positions. They fought where they were told to and won where they fought. They stood strong with no luck but all skill, with one shot and one kill. From the snow-clad mountains of the Himalayas in the north, to the steaming hot and humid jungles of the seven sisters in the north-east and the drifting sand of the deserts in the west, they drive control. Standing sentinel over the nation’s border in the High Himalayas and selflessly sacrificing their lives along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, they were renowned as the Soldiers of the Indian Arm-force. They are recognised as the Guardian of the frontiers holding a bold and a disciplined figure.
They stand strong against the wind with their lives pledged to the motherland. Well, these were the fierce men of the country who swore to protect us and live by our sides, away from their families on a distant foreign land. Yes we all have known this , they are called the army-men. But is that all?
While we stay here either too busy or procrastinating , we are being secured by these countrymen who fight for our welfare. The Jawans in the armed forces spend most of their youth in rigorous training and the peak time in their life is spent between the bullets and the harsh weather. A soldier is the one who carries courage and brings in pride. These brave men fight to fill our lives with colour. We sing our national anthem in glory due to the sacrifices made by these men. And all we had before they left were their actions to remember. It thus becomes our prime responsibility to come forth as gentle civilians and pay tribute to our brave countrymen on 31st JANUARY at NSCI DOME 6:30 pm onwards and represent the strength of the nation.
