"Bringing a smile on Face of Underprivileged Children"

In a Dhariwali Village, Mumbai poor children are getting grooming lessons, basic education and personality development to be self-reliant in future. Atharva Foundation is taking great efforts to bring positive change in the life of less fortunate children under the visionary leadership of Shri.Sunil Rane Sir, Chairman Atharva Foundation".

It is a great privilege to work with Atharva Foundation to bring a positive change in the life of underprivileged children in Dharivali Village, Malad Mumbai. Atharva Foundation team has been trying to bring a smile on the face of many little angels who couldn't get the proper facilities for their upbringing due to the problem of poverty. The parents of these kids are very poor and living in a slum area and leading worst life without proper hygiene. They are not able provide the basic facilities to their children like getting enrolled in government school, providing books, clothes etc. These children are born talented have immense capacity for understanding and are naturally bright but poverty has deprived them of an education. I have been concerned for underprivileged children who are unable to access education due to lack of resources. I got an opportunity to work for these children under the able leadership of Hon.Shri Sunil Rane sir, Chairman of Atharva Foundation.

We have started a weekend school for underprivileged children at Dhariwali with 20 students. The team of Faculty from Atharva Group of Institutes volunteered to teach them on road under the tree and gradually we became famous in nearby area and more children started joining. The chairman of Atharva Foundation Shri. Sunil Rane Sir has provided a small school building with 3 rooms for 35-40 students. The school has all required facilities to run on weekend and regular basis. We encourage and gather students who were too poor to pay the government school fee to attend our lessons during the weekends.

These children are taken care like our family member and focused on every aspect of life to build their personality to be competent in personal and professional life.

These students are taught all basic subjects and focused on personality development also. They are provided clothes, raincoats, shoes, books, stationery and computer education also. These students are taken to the colleges of Atharva Group of Institutes and introduced many laboratories. They were very happy to see the robotics center of Atharva College of Engineering where they interacted with Humanoid Robot.

I witnessed the satisfaction on the face of these children and confidence to face the future challenges during our interaction on weekend school. I am so glad to work for Atharva Foundation for such a noble initiative. I wish a happy learning to all students and wish them brighter life. I would like to end this blog with the lines written by the famous poet named Robert Frost in his poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"
